NBA legend Magic Johnson’s avatar as an owner has been quite amusing to watch. Anyhow, the highlight has always been his honest criticism through tweets. Well, the 5x NBA champion is back at it, but with a smile on his face this time. Johnson has the tendency to put things as they are. He praises the team when it’s a win and blatantly criticizes them when it’s a loss. Fortunately for his $6.5 billion NFL team, a win today saved them from Johnson’s chide.

The Los Angeles Lakers icon shared heavy criticism on his MLB team as well a few days back. Thankfully, Johnson’s NFL team put an end to this trend.

Half of Johnson’s tweets on ‘X’ are targeted towards either his NFL or MLB teams. The 3x NBA MVP has ownership in the Los Angeles Dodgers and their playoff run was quite disappointing for their fans. The Dodgers had a promising regular season with more than 100 wins as they finished at the top spot. Sadly in the very first round of the playoffs, the Dodgers fell prey to the Arizona Diamondbacks, 0-3.

Johnson shared on his Twitter, “We’re all disappointed that our Dodgers didn’t hit or pitch well. That’s why we lost the Series to the Diamondbacks!” However, this sad trend has come to an end now.

$6.5 billion worth Washington Commanders secured a 24-16 win against the Atlanta Falcons and part-owner Johnson was proud about one thing. Though it was Atlanta’s home, the arena was filled majorly by the Commanders fans. Johnson shared, “I want to thank all of the Washington Commanders fans for coming out because they helped will us to victory!”

He also gave some of his players their flowers. Johnson added, “Defense came up big twice in today’s win with two interceptions in the last 5 minutes, one by St. Juste and one by Davis. Coach Rivera really had the team ready to play!”

The Commanders would be glad to win this game as it saves them from the 64-year-old’s wrath.

Magic Johnson’s stunning criticism of the Commanders after the last loss

Tuning back 10 days from here, Johnson’s reaction was not the same, but quite the opposite. The Commanders succumbed to table-bottom Cincinnati Bears and that was enough to piss the LA icon off.

Johnson shared, “Tonight the Commanders played with no intensity or fire. We didn’t compete in the first half… It was too big of a hole to climb out of and that is why we ended up losing.”
