The Kansas City Chiefs are up against the Miami Dolphins today in Germany, which means the Deutsche Bank Park could turn into an Eras concert. Or so some people would wish. There is no confirmation if Taylor Swift will make an appearance at the game, but she’s already the reason why everyone is rooting for one team. At least NBA great Paul Pierce has pledged his loyalty to the billionaire popstar’s rumored romantic interest.
When asked about which team he’s supporting in the highly anticipated international game,?The Truth?spoke the truth. He’s team Swiftie.

Kansas City Chiefs are driving up audience participation thanks to the Swift factor. Travis Kelce resolutely kept mum about his rumored girlfriend’s attendance at the game in Germany today. Regardless, fans are eager to watch the Chiefs-Dolphins game to pick out Taylor Swift from the audience.
Even Paul Pierce couldn’t keep her out of the conversation on the latest edition of?Ticket & The Truth. Kevin Garnett wanted to know who Pierce’s favorites were to win. The Boston Celtics legend declared, “I’m Chief-dub.” KG was initially surprised he’d pick them. Both teams are going 6-2 and oddsmakers can’t come to a consensus about who has a better chance at winning.
For Pierce, there is only one factor that makes the Chiefs unbeatable for him. And that reason left Garnett and fans in stitches. “Taylor Swift is undefeated.” He’s not wrong. The Eras titan, who is now a bona fide billionaire with a $1.1 billion net worth, is proving to be the lucky charm for the Chiefs. Every game she attended and was cheering for Travis Kelce’s squad, the Chiefs won.
Chiefs fans are hoping Swift is in Germany just so the team wins again. Even Garnett asked if Swift’s attendance was confirmed. Since it’s still undisclosed, the Big Ticket?put his money on Miami.

In some ways, Garnett too is leaning into the Taylor charm. And if she’s not there, he’s leaning toward the Dolphins to win. But Pierce maintains, “I ain’t betting against Taylor Swift.”

The Cowboys and Eagles will be playing next and Pierce bet on Philadelphia. Mostly because he doesn’t think any of the stars attending will prove to be a lucky charm for Dallas. Ironically, the Swift factor was proving the opposite effect for the NBA.
Taylor Swift is not so lucky for NBA teams

The success of her concert tour and the subsequent movie has cemented Taylor Swift as a pop culture icon. But another lore that will follow her is the supposed NBA curse. Apparently, when the Eras Tour intersected with the NBA playoffs, that city didn’t fare well.
For instance, look at Garnett and Pierce’s old team. The ‘Bad Blood’ songstress performed in Massachusetts in May when the Eastern Conference Finals were around the corner. Oddly, the Celtics didn’t win a single game while Swift was in town. Once she moved to her next tour stop, the Celtics pulled a 3-0 redemption. But like other teams who couldn’t go further, the Celtics lost Game 7.
While the NFL is profiting from Swift, the NBA curse is unsteady. Miami Heat didn’t have a single Eras intersection and made it to the Finals. But the Denver Nuggets crossed paths with the tour and somehow won.

The Taylor-made odds are far more predictable on the NFL end clearly. If she shows up at the game in Germany, we know who’s winning between Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.
