Super Bowl 2024: Usher’s “Buffed” Body Leaves 4x NBA Champion With Impractical Demand

Usher is making Manu Ginobili feel his age. But not accurately. Mr Entertainment did what he did best, sweep the Super Bowl by storm with a grand spectacle during the Halftime Show. He took us all back to 2004 when Confessions dropped. As much as he became the object of many unattainable desires back then, Manu Ginobili outdoes every circa 2004 Usher fan.

He’s on X after the Halftime Show with his wish, “In a few years when I turn 45 I would love to be buffed like Usher…” and a follow-up, “Also his hairline…”  Gino’s hairline woes aside, he’s missed the mark to be like Usher. Like 365 days. Yes, 45-year-old Usher is looking ageless, but Ginobili (born in 1977) is already 46 years old. So he’s missed his self-imposed deadline to have Usher’s abs but nothing’s stopping him from working on it at 46.

Usher had a few outfit changes in his set, including when he wore a one of a kind pair of Air Jordan sneakers. Reminiscent of the time 26-year-old Usher Raymond went shirtless in the Confessions era, 2024 Usher flaunted his physique for a part of the performance. More than a few were reaching for a glass of water after that.

Hence we all relate to Manu Ginobili. But given 4x NBA champion’s stacked history, we think if he extracted Usher’s secrets to staying young, he could look like 2003 Manu again. His hairline is a whole other story though.

Manu Ginobili’s wishful Usher dream

Throughout his NBA career, a running joke with the Argentine and his fans was his hair. Ginobili entered the league with a glorious mane, touching his shoulders and rivalling Fabio. With time, the length of the hair and hairline got scanty.

By the time he was retiring in 2018, Manu Ginobili’s fabulous locks were the stuff of legends and pictures. What remains intact is Ginobili’s sense of humor as he can still joke about his hair. He can only live his best body and best hair days through Usher now.

It wasn’t just the San Antonio Spurs legend fawning over Usher. Golden State Warriors star, Nick Young, ranked this spectacle, “Top 5 big halftime show ever.” LeBron James was at the Super Bowl and many caught him vibing during the Halftime Show.
