Stephen A. Smith and Shaquille O’Neal have a friendly rivalry in the television industry, hosting their own shows. That seems to be the case when it comes to supporting NFL teams as well. Shaq, a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, got a bit too confident after his team’s 2-0 start to the season. The 4x NBA champion not only gave Smith a humbling moment but also made a bold prediction that sounded a bit bizarre. It was a treat to watch the two go back and forth with each other.

However, the highlight is Smith’s take on the Cowboys a few months back, which defines the humbling moment. Let’s take a deeper look at it.

Stephen A. Smith has made it clear that he hates the Dallas Cowboys on several occasions. On the other hand, Shaquille O’Neal’s love for the Cowboys is unbeaten. Though the Cowboys are 2-0 through the first two weeks, Smith believes they are still not the “best team“.

The 55-year-old went on to choose the San Francisco 49ers who are on a 3-game win streak over the Cowboys. Smith has shown his love for several teams, such as the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, 49ers, etc. However, he failed to credit the Cowboys even though they are 2-0.

Well, Shaquille O’Neal decided to humble the television celebrity. Joining Smith’s First Take as Tex Johnson from Texas, he stated, “2-0. Shut your face… 2 and 0 baby. Cowboy nations forever.”

Then came a bold prediction from the Los Angeles Lakers legend. Shaq added, “Cowboys winning the Super Bowl,” which instantly sent Smith into denial. He replied, “Hang the hell up, man.”

Anyhow, this was a humbling moment for Smith, considering what he said about the Cowboys a few months back.

Stephen A. Smith laughed off the Cowboys six months back

It’s been 26 years since the Cowboys won a Super Bowl. Yet, they are still famously known as “America’s team” which Smith has not been a fan of. The Cowboys have good momentum at the moment, though.

Smith predicted a weak link in the Cowboys during March this year, which is none other than Dak Prescott. The quarterback was the star of the show in the last two games, which was yet another humbling moment for Smith.
