This was regarding the fans opposing their own team for various reasons. Most of the fans were not rooting for the team when it was on their home turf. This made the players not like to play on their home court. They found it more enjoyable to go to the opposing team’s court and shut down their fans.

The 64-year-old denied being bothered and said that the fans had already bought all the tickets for the games. This means that they are excited. So now that the players know this, they will also be excited to play.

Johnson finished off by saying, “The enthusiasm of the city has been amazing, and now they are ready for the guys (players) to play on Sunday“.

Magic Johnson is on a mission to make Washington a tough place to play for the opponents. He is hoping to have the positive involvement of the fans to make sure the players really do have a home-court advantage. Once the fans are behind the team, it changes the landscape of the field, metaphorically.
