With Lionel Messi’s arrival to MLS outfit Inter Miami, America has another GOAT within its borders. Having dominated the game of soccer for the past decade or so, the Argentine’s arrival signals a new dawn within American sports. A highly debated subject, calling someone the greatest of all time is quite the compliment. While some athletes are rightly considered as the GOAT, the same cannot be said for most of them.
Sports fans are notoriously quick in naming people with incredible feats, such as being their GOAT. And although fair in terms of the plaudits, it takes more than just a significant feat to be considered the greatest of all time.
