She was cheering for her son’s team alongside many other celebrities. Sunday’s game showed that NFL teams have the best cheerleaders in every corner.

Magic Johnson boosts spirits after the latest downer

The Washington Commanders faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles earlier today. Though Magic Johnson’s team was defeated 34-31, the Commanders didn’t make it easy. The formidable Eagles toughed it out in overtime to come out on top.

Not one to be disheartened, the Los Angeles Lakers icon didn’t let his team stay down either. Johnson was on X immediately following the game with words of encouragement for the team and its fans along with a special shoutout to one player.

“Even though we lost the game, I’m proud and happy with the @Commanders team effort on both sides of the ball, the way Sam Howell played, and the way we bounced back from the Bills loss!” the Commanders boss wrote, showcasing he remains the positive influence he has been since his NBA playing days.

Fans were especially touched by Magic’s acknowledgment of the rival team. That won’t be the only instance of the Eagles getting support from a different kind of source. While the Eagles had their center, Jason Kelce charging through the field, his mom Donna Kelce was in the stands supporting the whole team besides actor, Kevin Miles.

Mama Kelce is double-timing it this season. As her other son, Travis Kelce, plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, she switched to her Chiefs jersey to support him last week. This time, her company was her son’s rumored girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who expressed his commitment to be hands-on with the team management, was notably silent after the loss. However, he referred to it in his latest message after the loss to the Eagles. As Johnson claimed, the team “bounced back from the Bills loss” in a big way. Jason Kelce’s Eagles barely edged them out in OT to keep their winning streak.
