Me’arah O’Neal is one of the top college prospects in the country. Notably, the 17-year-old phenom has already received offers from many major schools, including Louisiana State University. Given the history between Shaquille O’Neal and LSU, there is a huge possibility Me’arah would opt to play college basketball for the Tigers.
Amidst this, Shaq recently called for the attention of LSU and other top colleges to have a look at his 14-year-old nephew, Elijah Wilson. Elijah is an RB for Saint Monica Prep who has been gaining popularity for his impressive performances. Despite being a freshman, the young star is the starting RB for the varsity team. Furthermore, he looks unbelievably athletic for his age.

O’Neal recently took to Instagram and gave a shout-out to his nephew. He spoke highly about Wilson’s abilities and asked the recruiters to keep an eye on him. However, it looks like Uncle Shaq is not done endorsing him. He recently shared a video clip about Elijah’s rise on his Instagram story.

Elijah’s father, James Wilson, who was a professional heavyweight boxer initially posted the video clip. The clip contained some of the young running backs unreal runs along with his impressive numbers. It also talked about Elijah’s work ethic.

Shaquille O’Neal’s football career
Shaquille O’Neal is a huge football fan. Notably, the Hall of Famer’s favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys. Given his size and athleticism, O’Neal could have dominated football as well. Interestingly, he played football in high school. However, he opted out after an interesting realization. The 4x NBA champion once revealed the reason behind it. Shaq noted that he was a great tight end. He recounted that he injured his knee playing football and struggled for 6 weeks.
Shaq said, “While I’m at home, depressed, worrying about my life, figuring out what I’m gonna try to do? I saw an article that Jon Koncak got $15 (million) for 3 (years)! I ain’t the smartest guy in the room, but I know 15 divided by three is 5 a year. So I said, You know, I’m gonna start playing basketball.”
