According to Fox News, when 30-year-old Jefferson was asked about Rogers’ recovery, he said, “It’s Kobe-esque“. He also mentions that people counted Kobe out when he went down with a third-degree Achilles tear. But he fought his way back and proved people wrong.
Rodgers is constantly going to physical therapy while also keeping in mind not to overdo things that can derail his progress. This was one of the toughest challenges that Kobe faced during his time.
According to Lakers athletic trainer Gary Vitti, he told Kobe that he had to let it heal and not put too much strain on it or practice. Staying away from the sport was one of the toughest sacrifices that Kobe made.
