Recently, he went hard on his basketball team because of their poor display on the court.
Most NBA players venture into the business world upon retiring. But Melo is staying true to his roots by pursuing basketball coaching.
Former Knicks Carmelo Anthony lashes out on his team

Carmelo Anthony is hands down one of the best scorers from the modern NBA. He announced his retirement earlier this year and proceeded to start coaching his son’s basketball team. Being one of the top picks in his own draft class Anthony is well aware of how tough it is to make it to the NBA. He was spotted telling the same thing to his team in a rather harsh manner recently.
The 39 year-old said, “Y’all not playing hard. Y’all playing soft. Y’all playing like suckers. You think y’all gonna be recruited by coaches playing like this?!”

Carmelo was not pleased with his team’s performance and made sure to give the whole squad a proper beatdown. The team was losing by a massive 21 points. His son Kiyan Anthony added, “I’ve never seen my dad this mad before.”

Anthony makes celebrated journalist apologize

Carmelo Anthony once confronted Stephen A Smith when he made a false comment regarding Melo’s ongoing situation with the Knicks.
Smith’s comments rubbed Anthony the wrong way and he called the ESPN journalist to address it. In a conversation with Stephen A. Smith, Melo made it clear that he had to apologize to the NBA star for the false comments. Smith responded, “I had no excuse. Zero.”
The matter was of Stephen A. not verifying the news with Melo. And the ESPN host understood his mistake. He further added, “To this day, I don’t know what the hell came over me.”
