Natalia Bryant's Victoria's Secret ad: A proud moment for Kobe's legacy or just another celeb endorsement?

“Natalia has always been able to accomplish anything she sets her mind to,” Vannesa Bryant had said to Town and Country Magazine about her and Kobe Bryant’s daughter. The 21-year-old University of Southern California’s film school has her mind both on her studies and modeling. So she is making moments in all directions. In the summer of 2023, Natalia interned for Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and helped in creating the imagery that went on the Renaissance tour. On the other hand, her modeling career has found her becoming the face of Victoria’s Secret PINK a few months back. Now, yet another promo from the iconic brand has left everyone amazed.

Natalia Bryant has been juggling college life and her modeling career for quite some time now. And it seems like the hard work is paying off for her. Having signed with IMG Models in 2021, she made her runway debut at Versace’s spring 2024 show during Milan Fashion Week last September. Now, after Victoria’s Secrets Spring Campaign in February, as another one of her modeling projects is in the limelight, her mother, Vanessa, couldn’t have been prouder.

Natalia shared the promo for Victoria’s Secret PINK’s latest campaign. “Campus uniform loading 💭 @vspink #pinkpartner,” read the caption to the post featuring Bryant in a maroon pallet top over a full-sleeved white shirt and shorts. The legendary brand introduced its latest campaign, The New Class, along with Natalia and other models ahead of the new college year.

In another post on VS PINK’s Instagram page, the caption read, “Just-dropped semester staples are now in session — introducing The New Class featuring @nataliabryant. Shop everything you need to make it through the rest of summer and beyond with fresh Apparel, Activewear, Bras & Panties, and more.” For Natalia, getting associated with VS is not just a collaboration. It is reliving the nostalgia for her.

Recalling her first experience of the brand being with her mother during their trips to the mall, Natalia told People Magazine in February, “I used to love going to the mall and going to Pink and picking out sweat sets or even their pajama sets.” The launch of this campaign was celebrated with a brunch at The Pendry in West Hollywood. “It’s been a dream working with PINK,” she had iterated on the opportunity.

Natalia preaches about living at the moment. And that is what made her choose the campaign. “This campaign really resonated with me. Because we should all value our paths and explore the unknown and have fun,” Natalia had said E! News in February. According to Natalia, the brand has been great at paying attention to details. The prep-inspired vibe of the spring campaign had also struck a chord with her.

Have an interesting take?

It featured products like Oxford button-downs, striped crew sweaters, and knit polo tops. Those were the kind of clothes she would actually wear on a college campus and recommend to her friends as well. So Natalia could identify herself with the campaign. This very feeling is very important to her since she finds fashion a tool to get over the dull moments.

“I always dress up, Say you wake up and you’re feeling a little sick or groggy, put on an outfit that makes you feel your best and go from there. Jewelry and outfits will pull you together,” she had said, indicating the importance of fashion in her life. Despite being so fashion-conscious, she is equally dedicated to finishing her studies at the University of Southern California’s film school.

Back in February, she had told People Magazine that it is indeed difficult to manage both calling the university studies a “full-time job”. But at the same time, she acknowledged the role of her family and friends who have been her support system in balancing out both. As the year is witnessing the 21-year-old taking strides in her career, those loved ones once again showered her with love and praise.

Natalia Bryant’s fashionable dunk makes heads turn

Natalia mostly relied on her mother, Vanessa, for style tips during her initial years. She would even raid her fashion collection from time to time. Nat told People Magazine that she has the highest faith in her mother’s opinion as she keeps it honest. And Natalia would be nothing but happy after reading her comment on her IG post. “Omg Nani! So cute!!!! I ❤️ it,” Vanessa wrote.

Meanwhile, Vanessa’s close friend and yet another basketball wife, La La Anthony, also showered Natalia with love and support. “Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote in the comments. Notably, La La and Vanessa’s friendship gained new depth after Kobe Bryant‘s death. La La is said to have been in regular touch with Vanessa during that time, acting as an emotional support. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2020, La La revealed she is “Auntie La La” for Vanessa’s children.

Yet another one of the Bryant family’s close friends — Ciara — also commented on Natalia Bryant’s post. “So pretty,” she wrote. Ciara and Vanessa share a close bond, and the singer had recently performed at “The House that Kobe Built” (now Crypto.com Arena). Vanessa, who attended the show with Natalia, had praised Ciara in a dedicated IG post and showered her with love. “Had so much fun hanging out with my girls (and my baby @nataliabryant) last night. We love you so much!” she had written. So it was only natural for Ciara to reciprocate the feelings of affection and support of Natalia’s recent achievement.

WNBA legend Swin Cash also commented with a heart and shining star emojis. While most of the IG users praised the 21-year-old, one user highlighted the popularity of this campaign. “Crazy when we’re driving in nyc and see ur billboard…” she wrote. Notably, PINK’s The New Class campaign is available to shop now.
