“I do what I do. Always,” said Shaquille O’Neal once. And it seems like his kids are catching on to his antics quite literally. While his kids, Shareef, Shaqir, and Me’Arah, are making their mark on the hardwood, another member of the O’Neal clan is keeping the family name alive in a different arena. Myles O’Neal, the eldest sibling, is carving a niche in the music world as a DJ and performer and, as a recent hilarious moment proves, the fun-loving spirit runs in the family.
Myles recently shared a picture on his Instagram Story that left fans in stitches. His DJ friend, Max Styler, was captured holding a massive cutout of Shaq’s face in front of his own, mimicking the basketball legend’s iconic expressions. The young DJ captioned the story with numerous laughing emojis showing that he couldn’t contain his laughter, and honestly, who could blame him?
This lighthearted moment is more than just a comedic snapshot—it’s a nod to the bond between father and son and their shared love for bringing joy to others. Myles has often spoken about how hard it was for him to bond with his father since he was not a basketball player, but once he got into music, the bond between him and the Lakers icon grew.

“Since I do not play basketball like my brothers and sisters, there were times in my life when it was hard for my dad and I to have something to bond over, until he started DJing. I would go on tour with him and music brought us way closer together, as a father-son relationship. Are music fuses us, which makes me appreciate what I do that much more?” said Myles in an interview with IEDM.
Moreover, this fun social media story comes after, it was announced that the 27-year-old will be performing at the seventh installment of his father’s energetic show: Shaq’s Funhouse. The event is dubbed as part circus, part, carnival, and part festival and features performances from John Summit, Ludacris, and DJ IRIE, Shaq the young DJ himself.
“🏈🏆 BACK AT IT AGAIN!!!! @shaqsfunhouse NOLA 2025!! FEB 7th!! WE COMING CRAZY THIS YEAR AS ALWAYS!!!! CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YALL!” read the caption of Myles’ Instagram post.
As for Myle’s music career, he got into production last year and released his first single Superficial, which has over 400k+ streams on Spotify right now. Moreover, he got into EDM last year and has headlined for many artists like SIDEPIECE, Sickick, Chantal Jeffries, and NITTI and has even carried on his own music tour this year called the Flashlight Tour.
As Myles gears up for his big performance at Shaq’s Fun House, fans can’t wait to see how he’ll continue to honor his father’s legacy while forging his own path. Whether it’s through music, laughter, or unforgettable moments like the Shaq mask cut out, one thing is clear: the O’Neal family knows how to entertain. However, this isn’t the only Shaq funny available out there.
