“My Dad Is Terrified”: 32YO Marcus Rats Out “Juicy” Michael Jordan Tales Only to Leave Larsa Pippen Stumped

The image of Michael Jordan is of a formidable 6’6″ opponent, brutally competitive and someone who made the opposite team shake in their boots. But at the end of the day, he’s human. His family knows that best. To Marcus Jordan, ‘His Airness’ is just dad. Like any kid, Marcus was also a handful to the Chicago Bulls legend. It appears that Mike didn’t have the same impact on his kids as he had on his on-court opponents.

Marcus revealed a hilarious incident from his childhood to his 16-years older girlfriend, Larsa Pippen, on their podcast, Separation Anxiety. As it turns out, Marcus faced the consequences of going after his dad.

Marcus Jordan Reveals his dad’s greatest fear

This week on Separation Anxiety, Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen answered some questions by fans. Pippen had an interesting question that is probably many Michael Jordan followers have wondered at least once. It’s about the thing MJ feared.

“What would fans be surprised to know about your dad?” And she added an extra request for “something juicy.” Her beau delivered.

Marcus prefaced it by saying there’s a lot of things he’s privy to that people don’t know about the six-time champion. Among the previously unknown MJ trivia he listed, was, “He’s terrified of snakes.”

Larsa had the most relatable reaction with “What?” After all, it’s the Michael Jordan. He’s silenced the best trash-talkers in the NBA dunking over them. But snakes are also a legitimate fear.

And Marcus confirmed it. “My dad is terrified of snakes, literally.” So what does anyone do after finding out the big scary NBA champ’s fear? Prank him, of course.

Marcus took advantage of Michael Jordan’s reptilian aversion

Despite tensions between Larsa Pippen and the Jordan house, her relationship with Marcus is going strong. Marcus is even comfortable telling her his dad’s secrets on the podcast. He went as far as to share a childhood incident.

Knowing their dad can’t stand snakes, Marcus and his older brother, Jeffrey, staged a prank when they were about 12 and 14. “We got a bunch of rubber snakes, and we threw them in my dad’s room on top of the bed in the master bedroom.” The result of the prank was, “We were grounded.” 

But not before they made the almighty Mike run around. “I think he was caught off guard. He realized that they weren’t real after a while. So, he was running around the house, trying to figure out who pranked him.”

Marcus said that’s what his childhood in the Jordan household was like. “When you’re home 24×7, you come up with ways to have fun. And one of those ways was pranking each other and pranking my parents.” Larsa, a mom of four, could empathize with Jordan calling Marcus a “wild kid.”
