Orlando was once again Shaquille O’Neal’s stomping grounds yesterday. Shaq returned to the city to perform at the UCF Knights football stadium. The team would face off against West Virginia at noon. In the morning, the stadium was DJ Diesel‘s?moshpit. Glimpses of all of Shaq’s moments at UCF are spilling onto social media, giving us a serious case of FOMO.
It started with the reception the former Orlando Magic star got as soon as he entered the FBC Mortgage Stadium. Dubbed ‘The Bounce House’ for its tendency to rumble with the fans’ excitement, Shaq was loving the rousing cheers from the crowd.
His concert went the way his EDM fiesta’s go always – thrumming with headbanging energy and cool fan moments. He’s often welcoming fans on the deck during his set. Some fans at the stadium shared the clip of Shaq bench-pressing with a girl. Fans even got to take selfies with him on stage.
O’Neal himself reposted clips of the “10 am moshpit” on his official DJ Diesel?page. At some point, he had a featuring artist in the form the UCF mascot, Knightro dancing on the stage.
Despite Shaq raising the energy of the Knights football team and fans, it didn’t translate the way they’d like. They suffered their fifth straight loss this season by 28-41. However, the defeat hasn’t sunk in as Shaq’s homecoming pre-show is the only thing on everyone’s mind. Afterall,?Big Diesel?is a big name in the head-banging game.

Shaq announced his homecoming on social media ahead of the game on October 28. He may have even put the football game at the back of everyone’s minds.
