Kendrick Perkins did not wait to add more fuel to the fire.

While the analyst duo Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley jump at every chance to give heat to the veteran analyst, he hasn’t been quiet either. Okay, perhaps he was waiting for the right opportunity. And lo! behold, the ‘Big Perk’ got it.

One of Chuck’s latest remarks about the Lakers didn’t sit well with the ESPN analyst, and he was quite candid while calling out the basketball legend in the latest segment of The Road TrippinWhat did Barkley say that upset Perkins so much?

While talking about the Los Angeles Lakers, ‘Sir Charles’ discussed LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, when it came to the rest of the players, Perkins said he didn’t like that Chuck called them “bums.” He emphasized that the 76ers legend should have been more mindful and respectful of the players, as they did not reach the point they are at now without working hard.

“When he’s talking about the Lakers, he says, yes, you got LeBron and AD, and then you got the rest of them bums. That s**t right there pissed me off. There’s no player in the f*****g league that should be called, deserved to be called a bum. Like, you make it to this level for a reason. Like, and when you’re talking and you have a platform like that, you shouldn’t be disrespecting players like that and calling them no bums, man. That s**t is not cool,” Perkins argued.

Furthermore, he reminded them that the players have their families and kids watching these takes. And that’s not a good look!

However, this isn’t the first time Perkins has had an issue with what Barkley had to say. This beef has been going on for quite some time. One of the most notable incidents was when Kendrick Perkins called out Charles and Shaq for their analysis of the New York Knicks.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Charles Barkley crossing the line with his 'bums' comment, or is it just tough love?

Have an interesting take?

Both the Inside guys had some tough words for the Knicks, and Perkins was quick to call out the duo, saying that both only watch the New York team when they have to cover the games. Chuck and O’Neale’s response was immediate.

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal called Kendrick Perkins a “roach”

O’Neal and Barkley aren’t the ones to take the matter lightly. During a special segment of the TNT show in April, the two jumped at the chance to call Perk out. And that situation? It was just a simple fitness and conditioning task for the analysts to gear up for the playoffs, and hitting the punching bag was one of them.

Taking the opportunity, Barkley punched the sandbag, which had a picture of Perkins, and called it a roach”. This didn’t escape Perkins’ attention. While he took the high road regarding the analyst hitting the sandbag or other insults directed at him, he wasn’t pleased about the “roach” comment.

He took to his social media and wrote, Hey @NBAonTNT tell Chuck he ain’t ready to get his feet hot with me.” he said. During his appearance on The Michael Kay Show, Kendrick Perkins explained his disappointment.

And me and Shaq would just have to rumble in the jungle! But I enjoyed it man! The only problem that I had with it is that don’t call me no damn roach, bro. I ain’t on that. Don’t call me no roach. Like, c’mon dog, I ain’t do no name-calling. You gonna call me a roach? C’mon dog. That’s the worst of the worst. Like, c’mon man. A roach? That’s what y’all on?” he said.

The feuding has perhaps gotten more intense.
