Shaunie Henderson was at the first game of her daughter’s new life at the University of Florida. But she faced a conundrum, as her Shaqir had his debut at the same time. And it was Shaquille O’Neal who attended the son’s game, as the Executive Producer of Basketball Wives was at the Me’Arah’s game. The motivation has continued even during the 18-year-old’s off-court activities.
“@mearahoneal_ show me how to do this!!! 😍😍.” Shaunie Henderson added a comment on the Gators’ Instagram post, where the team was learning a new skill. “another talent unlocked: blanket making 🔓 #GoGators.” And if you thought, Me’Arah’s excelled in that, well her reaction was completely different.
“was struggling bad 😂😂.” This was before today’s game against the University of North Carolina. Interestingly the games are part of the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte. Before the matchup, the teams received gifts from the Jordan brand, and the teams received gifts from the Michael Jordan brand. The royal treatment even continued as the team designed their hoodies at the facility. They were invited to another team activity and Shaquille O’Neal’s youngest once again shared her reaction.

At 23 XI headquarters, Airspeed facility, it was time for a tire-changing competition. Two of Me’Arah’s teammates, Eriny Kindred and Ra Shaya Kyle represented the women’s Gators team. They got the job done in seconds as the teammates cheered on. The 18-year-old encapsulated her experience with three emojis, “😭😭😭.”
Looking at the game ahead, UNC is # 14 and has a seven-game win streak, the Gators too are on a winning spree of their own. But it’s not the same for Shaunie and Shaq’s youngest.

Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie’s presence fail to motivate Me’Arah
As stated previously, Shaunie was there at the opening game of the season. It was a huge victory, 82-54, four of them hit double digits in scoring, but Me’Arah scored only 7 points. But she did her career high in the third game of the season. Along with her 18 points, she contributed with 8 rebounds.

But that joy turned into agony, she was injured the very next game. After missing games, she was back on her feet but scored 0 points. However, that didn’t knock her confidence down, as she scored her first double-double of the season, against the Hofstra Pride. Since then it’s back to single-digit scoring again. In one of those games, even Shaquille O’Neal was present.
So, this Jumpman Invitational comes at the right time, for Me’Arah. As the team rejuvenated with different bonding activities, the Gators would hope to extend their winning streak to 5 games.
