NBA icon Magic Johnson is sporting the avatar of an owner, as he is multi-managing two different teams at the moment. The fun, go-to legend wasn’t too pleased after his NFL franchise, the Washington Commanders, displayed a poor performance yesterday. With harsh criticism on social media, Johnson blasted his own team, which took many fans by surprise. Well, looks like the disappointment has continued, but in a different league.
The Los Angeles Lakers icon loves to attend live games. However, when the result is a loss, Johnson, like most owners, does not enjoy it. The last time was when the Commanders lost to the Bears. This time it was in LA, but for baseball.

Magic Johnson is not the happiest owner at the moment
The Washington Commanders are 2-3 and their loss against table-bottom Chicago Bears triggered Johnson. Throwing light on the 20-40 loss, the 5x NBA champion shared, “The Commanders played with no intensity or fire. We didn’t compete in the first half… It was too big of a hole to climb out of.”
Johnson showed sheer disappointment, and sadly, the trend has only continued. The NBA legend also has an ownership stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers who have entered the playoffs on a great note. Finishing the regular season at the top with 100 wins, the stakes were high for their first playoff game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Johnson joined the crowd at the Dodger Stadium to support his team. Yet, the LA unit couldn’t deliver a win in their first game after they lost 2-11 to Arizona in the division series.

Johnson has not yet reflected on the loss, however, shared a photo of him in the Dodgers uniform along with his wife Cookie. He shared, “@thecookiej and I are supporting our @dodgers tonight!” With both his teams suffering disappointing losses, Magic won’t be the most pleased owner at the moment.

To make matters worse, the Los Angeles Lakers also lost to the Golden State Warriors today. While it was only a preseason game, the loss won’t feel too good at this time. Nevertheless, the Dodgers have the most at stake here with the Playoffs in full swing.

What’s at stake for the Los Angeles Dodgers?
The LA team was in a similar situation last season as well. Despite a staggering 111 wins in the regular season last year, the Dodgers fell prey in Game 1 to the San Diego Padres in the very first round of the playoffs.
After their performance against Arizona today, the odds are not favorable. However, Johnson, as an owner, will look to support his team for the next few crucial games. A playoff exit might lead Johnson to show his wrath again.
