There seems to be an endless debate over who the greatest player in the NBA is. And some of the names that are often involved in the altercation are Michael Jordan and LeBron James. However, an old, resurfaced video of famed NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith’s comment seemed to have sparked another debate over the same. And this time, it is not Kobe Bryant or LeBron James. A new name from the Golden State Warriors has joined the GOAT conversation.
Previously, the 55-year-old television host and journalist made a statement on how the NBA world is yet to witness the best offensive player after 6-time NBA champion Michael Jordan. And the old clip is the proof of his statement. However, much later, Smith effortlessly contradicted his previous claim and brought another new name in the debate.

During a conversation, Smith claimed that the NBA world is yet to come across a player whose skills are greater than the legend Michael Jordan in offense. And in the clip, Smith is seen making the statement.
However, another statement from the television personality resurfaced that seemed to differ from his previous claim. He named 35-year-old Warriors player Stephen Curry as the player who can offensively give a tough competition to the legend.
The 55-year-old noted, “He (Stephen Curry) is the greatest shooter that we’ve ever seen… This dude is just on another level I’ve never seen anyone like him.”
However, some fans weren’t happy with Smith ditching his own claim. They flocked down to the comment section to give their opinions.
