If Michael Jordan‘s 23XI Racing team doesn’t explain his love for cars, we don’t know what will. After MJ, Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal is perhaps the one who owns a similar impressive car collection and several mansions. Recently, the Chicago Bulls legend added another rare gem to his car collection. The question is whether this new mechanical marvel is gorgeous enough to break Big Aristotle’s vow.
MJ certainly loves exclusive items. While he prefers his everyday affairs private, his car collection tells otherwise. By acquiring the rare custom-made Pininfarina Battista Targamerica, he has just taken his passion to another level. It’s a sweet one-off. Equipped with four electric motors that produce an impressive 1,874 horsepower, the car boasts five drive modes, Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere to give you the complete owner of your life feelings.
Just imagine the most luxurious of drives! Teasing unfortunate clients, the car was unveiled at Monterey Car Week earlier in August. At that time, it was announced that the vehicle was purchased by an avid car collector. By early October, it was revealed that the owner was none other than MJ, who had already had it delivered to his home.

Well, the price of the car isn’t unveiled to the public. The black leather interior is as cool as the exterior which flaunts a brilliant color merge inspired by the 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider. And if the NBA’s former big man is reading this, here’s the best part.
Will Michael Jordan’s insane personalization of the car entice Shaquille O’Neal?
If there’s anything that Shaq wishes, he could have, but can’t, despite his immense wealth, it’s a car that fits him well.
He recently mentioned that he would not spend any more money on cars and homes, as he already has enough. He has already made a few car purchases either because of jealousy or competition.
Sports cars have already disappointed and broken his heart enough. Even the inspiration behind the latest Cybertruck he bought was the same. And the competition does sound a bit interesting.
MJ’s new car is custom-tailored to fit the 6-foot-6 Chicago Bulls legend inside. And this particular feature is just the tip of the iceberg. A car for a 7-foot star wouldn’t be a big deal for the Italian brand now, would it?
MJ’s Chicago mansion is a prime example of his fondness for personalization. Every design choice in the mansion screams his name, and the same can be said for this new Battista. A special cigar holder and humidor can be seen placed in front of the seats for the enthusiast.
