In 2015, Michael Jordan achieved the billionaire status, and eight years later in 2023, Magic Johnson followed suit. Both former NBA legends earned most of their wealth off the court thanks to their savvy business decisions. The Chicago Bulls legend is currently $2 Billion ahead of the former Los Angeles Lakers star. And MJ might have unintentionally flexed his wealth by one-upping Magic by embracing his new yacht for his family vacations.

A 244 ft long built in 2018, M’BRACE Yacht became a part of the Michael Jordan collection in 2022 per reports. Built by German manufacturers Abeking & Rasmussen, it has a market value of  $115 million. It has a unique feature of Atlantic Bow and a large swimming pool on the sun deck. Enjoying the time off ‘His Airness’ and his wife Yvette Prieto were seen vacationing with their children in southern Europe.

Magic Johnson too was enjoying his annual tradition this time of the year with his wife and friends. The group was sailing around on a $1.3million superyacht called the ‘Phoenix 2’. Thus, Michael Jordan was inadvertently using a $113.7 million costlier yacht. Although the Phoenix 2 did not lack any amenities.

It has seven cabins and 29 staff as well as indoor and outdoor cinemas, three pools, and a wellness center. However, the M’BRACE has accommodation facilities for 12 guests and a crew of 24 and requires approximately $10 million in annual running costs.

Nevertheless, the difference in monetary terms never became a barrier, both Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson were seen vacationing together with their families just last year. This year Jordan and Prieto started their family vacation in Barcelona with Jordan’s mom Deloris and family.

Michael Jordan and Magic sail all over again

A year ago, Magic Johnson took to Instagram to share his vacation experience with Michael Jordan and friends. “Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante aka the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy! AND I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer.”

Magic Johnson continued his annual tradition and again invited Samuel L Jackson and other friends. According to Sun, they began their trip in Barcelona at the Boca Grande restaurant. Also made stops in France and Monte Carlo while enjoying the Fourth of July holiday, overseas. The point guard made sure to keep up with his workout during the trip and even thanked Michael Jordan for the full Air-Jordan fit.

Michael Jordan, his wife Yvette Prietto, and their daughters were spotted in Ibiza and Mallorca around a week before Magic and Cookie. The Jordans were at an Ibiza Karting San Antonio and even enjoyed a show from Sean Christopher the magician. And last year, Jordan spent time through France, Italy, Greece, and Montenegro before ending the journey in Croatia on a luxury yacht cruise.
