Is Juanita Vanoy's cryptic post a reflection of America's divided state post-election?

The tables turned. Winning key states like North Carolina, Donald Trump defeated Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, securing 270 electoral votes to become the second president to serve non-consecutive terms. The celebration was evident among supporters, yet an ambiguous reaction also emerged from some people. Michael Jordan’s ex-wife was one, sharing a cryptic message with her followers on social media.

Juanita Vanoy shared a reel on IG Story. It’s a clip of a kid holding, what seems to be a capybara, that isn’t doing anything to protect itself. The capybara has its hands up in the air and screeches in a stunned expression, which is hilarious for those watching it. The kid then slowly lets go of the animal, which quickly runs away, disappearing into the grass. While the clip is funny, it’s the cryptic caption that caught everyone’s attention.

“Everyone in the United States right now.” Furthermore, Juanita also made a comment on this saying, “No, only the sane ones of us in the U.S!!!”

But she went on to share another enigmatic and hilarious message on her Instagram. It’s a clip of a man saying, “What’s the difference between animals and humans. Animals would never choose the dumbest among them to lead them.” She just captioned it “This.” There has been no further mention. It seems the video was aimed at the recent U.S. elections, as the comments appeared to hint at recent events. However, neither the clip nor Jordan’s ex-wife directly referenced any name or incident in the caption.

Vanoy hasn’t been vocal about her opinion on this, however, she has shared cryptic messages. This was after her previous post featuring a picture of a T-shirt with the words, “We gotta vote.”

Speaking of the elections and ambiguous messages, a couple of NBA players seem to have taken the approach after the results.

Matt Barnes and LeBron James react to Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election

Barnes, who previously interviewed Kamala Harris on the All The Smoke podcast, mentioned that he would be open to having Trump on the show. He expressed interest in posing some important questions to him. In an interview with Scoop B Robinson, he said, “Just because I want to ask some real questions.” Barnes seemed to have been interested in learning about the President’s causes, because his message after the results ceertainly suggest he wasn’t just ready for Trump to take the office.

He took to social media to congratulate Trump and wrote, “Congratulations to Donald Trump & the Republican party.” However, his caption, “Damn it hurt my soul to say this shit….” didn’t seem to convey the same enthusiasm.

LeBron James, on the other hand, had a more of a direct, yet no-name reaction. “HEAVY ON MY HEART & MIND THIS AM MY PRINCESS 👸🏾!! PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DONT NEED THEIR HELP!James captioned his picture on IG. It is a picture of him holding his daughter Zhuri in his arms while placing a kiss on her cheeks.

The Lakers star has been a vocal supporter of Harris, who secured 226 electoral votes after a campaign with a spending of $10 billion. Like James’ comment, which clearly voiced his stance on the elections, there has been a flurry of reaction from all over the world on social media.
