Despite a historic end, Juanita Jordan's support for Angel Reese shows true class. Agree or disagree?

The Chicago Sky have conceded their second straight loss! However, the elephant in the room is Angel Reese’s historic streak coming to a dramatic end. The Sky faced WNBA’s table toppers, the New York Liberty, and, as expected, Sabrina Ionescu and Co. were too strong for them. The Liberty defeated the Sky, 81-67, but Michael Jordan‘s ex-wife Juanita found a way to celebrate Reese’s success. What’s the success in a loss? You will surely get an answer to that question, but before that, let’s take a look at how Liberty used teamwork to end Reese’s double-double streak.

A week ago, Angel Reese surpassed Candace Parker for having the most consecutive double-doubles by grabbing 17 points and 14 rebounds against the Seattle Storm. Parker’s record was for 12 games. Reese surpassed it last week and brought it up to 15. The 22-year-old had a chance to improve her streak to sixteen, but Liberty did not allow that.

Reese grabbed 16 rebounds today but had only 8 points with 20 seconds left on the clock. The Chicago unit was down 14 points. They had no chance for a comeback, but at least Reese wanted to keep her double-double streak going. She demanded the ball on the post, and as soon as she got a pass, three Liberty players surrounded her to end her streak. Sad, isn’t it?

Anyhow, none of that mattered to Juanita. Before the game started, Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon gave Reese a huge bouquet for her first All-Star selection. Juanita, who was in the stands, clicked a picture of it and added it to her Instagram story. She also wrote, Angel Reese getting her flowers for making it to the All-Star team.”

The support shown by Juanita towards Reese is unmatched. The 65-year-old has been following every game of Reese this season.

On May 28, Angel Reese secured her first double-double in the WNBA against the Seattle Storm. She scored 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists, but it did not help the Sky get a win. They lost 77-68 to the Storm. The Sky fell to a 2-3 record, but Juanita shared some positive words.

Well, we didn’t get the W, but Angel Reese got a double-double“, said Juanita, supporting the 22-year-old on her ups and downs. We saw another episode of it today. Anyhow, this loss is a false alarm for both Reese and the Sky.

They are back to the 8th seed, which is the final spot for the playoffs. Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have redeemed themselves to move to the 7th seed. The Chicago unit must secure two more wins to surpass Fever. Let’s see if Reese can come up clutch in the next few games.
