In an interview in 1992, Michael Jordan said he wanted to step back from his public life. His Airness has avoided the glitz and glamour since his retirement and only makes a handful of appearances. Yet, the media coverage is never short of controversy not only surrounding MJ but his family too. Whether it is the DPOY argument, Marcus’ current relationship status, or a recent carjacking incident involving Juanita. However, Michael Jordan’s ex-wife has set the record straight regarding the false media reports. Her daughter also called the reports out.
On her Instagram, Juanita Vanoy uploaded 2 posts to clarify the rumors about the incident. Firstly, she pointed out that she doesn’t live in Chicago now nor drive a Rolls Royce. She explained she didn’t own any Rolls Royce and if she did, it would not be her driving. She would have a driver and security and “Said driver and security would absolutely be strapped-TRUST!”
Juanita had advice for people, as she has been in the limelight for decades now. “1. Believe NONE of what you read. 2. Believe NONE of what you hear. 3. Believe only HALF of what you see.” The caption of the post was “WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO RESPONSIBLE MEDIA COVERAGE? AN ARTICLE ON ANOTHER PLATFORM HAS FALSELY REPORTED SOME THINGS:”

Earlier, it was reported on X by Amy Jacobson of Chicago’s Morning Answer, “Juanita Jordan, Michael Jordan’s ex wife was carjacked outside her home in Chicago.” Further, she added that the white Rolls Royce, g*n, wallet, and keys were stolen from Juanita. Even suggesting that 2 African American males were the suspects and were being sought by police. Not just Juanita, but her daughter too condemned the reporting.
Jasmine Jordan comes to her mother’s rescue
“560theanswer, do better!! Since Amy doesn’t have a page of her own for me to directly address her,” said Jasmine Jordan. The youngest child of Juanita and Michael Jordan also explained why the reports were untrue. She said that she was by her mother’s side and there was no carjacking incident on her Instagram story, which was later posted by Juanita.
She reiterated her mother’s point, further stating, “Play with someone else! GTFOH.” Although Juanita provided clarification, her ex-husband has been quiet about this controversy. Juanita later shared the same on her page, writing, “When your daughter don’t play ‘bout you!!”
The month of June has its highs and lows for the Jordans. While it was Juanita’s birthday month, MJ and his DPOY controversy surrounded the internet from the beginning of the month.
