Seeing MJ laugh with legends—Does this prove he's still the GOAT in every way?

In August this year, Michael Jordan attended the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement because his close friend, Dwight Freeney, was one of the inductees. Similarly, the Bulls legend attended the Naismith Hall of Fame Awards Gala for another close connection. But last month, there was a discourse about MJ’s health which he was “embarrassed” about. However, the latest video from the HoF ceremony might put some fans at ease.

Welcome Welcome, Everything’s good? Lethal shooter, I see you.” This was the interaction where Michael Jordan was happily speaking with Chris Matthews. The NBA shooting coach also shared the moment from the weekend with the fans, “Tonight was a dream come true. Never would believe my idols would have known who I was. I was in shock tonight, shaking the entire time with joy. Just being honest with you all. Tomorrow can’t believe I’ll be apart of BASKETBALL HISTORY FOREVER. God is truly good!🙏🏿🙏🏿 -Stay locked in! @nba.

While not an NBA Hall of Famer per se, Matthews is still joining the elite company to have his likeness featured in the Hall. That’s why even the Bulls legend commented on the post.

Michael Jordan wrote, ” GOAT status on 🔒.” Speaking about comments, the Bulls legend was embarrassed when the health rumors were rampant on social media and an insider spoke to Daily Mail. “Mike is OK. He goes to the doctor, he is just getting older and the recent pics are in no way or should be a reason for concern.” The picture was from September 19, from a soccer game between Monaco and Barcelona. MJ was in the stands watching the Champions League fixture, and in a few photos, his eyes looked rather yellow.

A source close to Michael Jordan even shared His Airness reaction, “He has heard fans’ concerns, and he appreciates the concern but also is a little embarrassed that people are seeing him in this way.” The source further claimed that the next appearance from MJ would be dramatically different and the legend would look much better. And it was evident from the Hall of Fame event.

The 6x NBA Champion mingled with different inductees like Vince Carter, sat alongside Spike Lee, and laughed his heart out. The filmmaker addressed Ahmad Rashad and questioned the Knicks’ drought of the championship. Obviously, the entire room was already laughing at that point, including MJ and Rashad.

The 76ers legend Doug Collins, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1973 NBA draft for the franchise. He also became a coach for the franchise and thus got enshrined in the Hall of Fame. His NBA coaching record was 442-407, which included stops at the Chicago Bulls, the Detroit Pistons, the Washington Wizards, and the Sixers.

Yes, he coached Michael Jordan twice. First, before giving way to Phil Jackson, that led to the rise of the Bulls dynasty, and later also coached him in the final two seasons with the Wizards. They even shared a brief moment, where MJ threw a playful jab at him, “Whatup dawg? What’s happening?… I know he told a bunch of lies, I know he told a bunch of lies.”

Throughout the event, Michael Jordan greeted and met various legends and HoFers, that too with excitement and energy that fans felt was missing during the Monaco visit. Just like the insider promised, MJ looked better and the fans wouldn’t be concerned by his recent appearance at the ceremony.
