Recently, they collaborated with a big name in the rap world. The artist in question scheduled a performance in Giza, the magical city of Pyramids. But according to the latest reports his event might be in doubt.

Michael Jordan‘s collaboration with Nike turned out to be the best financial decision of MJ’s career. It put the six-time champion in the three-comma club (billionaires). The Jordan brand was set to sponsor the trip of 23 individuals to the event headlined by Travis Scott in Egypt. That would have been an experience of a lifetime for many. But will they still have the opportunity?

A few weeks ago it was announced that Travis Scott will be performing his brand-new album Utopia in front of the Pyramids of Giza. Travis Scott & Air Jordan launched a sweepstakes that would take 23 winners on an all-expenses paid trip to Al Qahirah. But according to some rumors going around, the ‘Road To Utopia’ might be blocked for MJ and the Astroworld star.

The Siasat Daily reported that Travis’ performance might be in doubt as his genre goes against the country’s traditions.

Egypt is a predominantly Islamic nation, known for its conservative laws. While this lends some credence to the rumors, entertainment magazine XXL reported that the artist’s plans have not changed. With the historic event slated to take place on the 28th of July, clarity should soon follow.

It’ll be intriguing to witness if the Billboard awardee will actually throw it down in Cairo, Egypt. The desert nation would definitely be in for a treat.

Travis gets massive props from fellow rapper

Scott’s previous album, Astroworld, was a massive hit in the hip-hop community. He is preparing to launch his next music album, Utopia, soon.

Rapper Shack Wes, known for the song ‘Mo Bamba’, was seen lauding Scott. Wes said, ” One thing about my homie Travis when it comes to that music, man, I ain’t gon’ lie, he got that s**t. Astroworld is a great album, but Utopia is going to be next level, man. I ain’t even front, that’s all I can say.”

Wes made it clear that Utopia might be the best album Scott has produced to date.

With all the buzz around it, one can understand why Michael Jordan wanted to collaborate with the artist on his next release. Perceptive moves like this have kept the Bulls legend in the green for decades. And we can only imagine that his and his company’s value will keep growing.
