Since linking up with Reebok, Shaquille O’Neal’s goal has been crystal clear—“take over the world with Reebok.” And the target? A cool $10 billion in sales by 2027. Ambitious, right? But even Shaq knows he can’t do it solo. That’s where Allen Iverson steps in. “If I’m a guard and I get a call from Shaq? Meh. But if I get a call from A.I., that’s a different story,” he admitted. While hoops will always be Reebok’s heartbeat, the brand isn’t afraid to step outside its comfort zone.

Naturally, that meant exploring new turf—literally. Just last month, Reebok made its move into the golf scene. They dropped a fresh lineup, including the “Nano Golf and OG Pump Golf” kicks—mixing high-tech performance with a splash of old-school flair. But stealing the spotlight was the “Question Golf” series, a clear homage to Iverson’s iconic basketball sneaker. The moment Nice Kicks showcased it on Instagram, sneakerheads jumped in fast. Buzz? Absolutely.

However, things shifted pretty quick. What looked like a hole-in-one soon turned into a whiff. The same buzz that built momentum also invited heat. Fans lit up the comments. “Ugly as hell, every one of ’em,” one fan wrote. For a $2.5 billion brand trying to pivot into a fresh market, the backlash was a tough pill to swallow. The hype just didn’t match the reaction, and for now, that golf shot seems like a missed fairway.

Still, while Shaq’s Reebok stumbles, Michael Jordan is ready to dominate the $4.24 billion golf clothing market. Off the heels of Masters Week, Jordan Brand is launching a summer golf collection that’s all about mixing style with performance. We’re talking refined silhouettes, clean lines, and pieces like cargo pants and mock-neck tops that scream both function and flair.

To round it out, the lineup gets even sharper. The Jordan Golf Short Sleeve Button Down brings tortoise shell buttons, a debossed MJ label, and a sleek knit chassis. The hoodie? It’s got that smooth suede ink Jumpman touch and a soft, structured fit. And with the Dri-Fit Pants and Shorts loaded with fly-ease pockets and an elastic waistband. However, Michael Jordan’s venture in golf doesn’t end here.

Michael Jordan’s vision for golf clothing market

Jordan Brand is stepping into summer with a swing that’s hard to ignore. Riding the wave of excitement from Masters Week, the brand unveiled its latest creation—the Air Rev golf shoe. And this isn’t just another drop. Michael Jordan himself put weight behind the launch with a clear message about where golf is headed next.

The future of golf isn’t tied to its past. For the next generation, it’s bolder and more modern,” MJ said. “Jordan Brand Golf blends performance, innovation, and iconic style, building a future where players, not the past, define what’s next.”

On that note, Jordan Brand’s President Sarah Mensah doubled down on that belief. “Golf is in a new era and Jordan Brand is uniquely positioned to lead this next chapter,” she explained. “The Jumpman is a symbol for those who play with passion, purpose, and the audacity to challenge the limits of the game they love.” Basically, this isn’t just gear—it’s a whole new mindset.

And, fans won’t have to wait long. The Air Rev hits shelves on May 14, and the new apparel is rolling out this summer. With MJ’s stamp of style and performance on every piece, the golf course is about to look a whole lot cooler.
