The Inside Guys are hitting the road for March Madness and Chuck couldn’t be happier. He’d rather watch some collegiate talent than the Chicago Bulls. The TNT crew has been representing the disappointment everyone feels for the Bulls on a discouraging skid. Charles Barkley is only a little meaner about it.

After the Bulls lost 111-126 to the Clippers, Charles Barkley said that the Chicago Bulls “couldn’t win March Madness.” That was scathing even to his co-hosts. Even Kenny tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that no college player can match the Bulls’ 2x All-Star center Nikola Vucevic. But Barkley was adamant that the current Bulls can’t compete anywhere.

Some fans may have agreed as they showed a tweet from a fan referencing the Michael Jordan cult classic, Space Jam. And they dragged in Chuck’s school, Auburn, to show the current Tigers ready to take on the Bulls. Barkley piled on that he likes Auburn’s chances since the Bulls don’t have a Jordan or Pippen. “Michael Jordan ain’t walking through that door. Scottie Pippen ain’t walking through that door.”

Inside the NBA will be live from New York next week for the NCAA’s marquee tournament. Barkley is passionate about the NCAA tournament and its athletes. But about the Bulls, he is not. Even though Chicago fans were upset by that jibe, he was not above pointing out that this team is far from what Michael Jordan made it.

Chuck should know. The last time Jordan and Pippen walked through the door, Barkley didn’t win the ring. But he was still hoping for Jordan and Pippen to walk in through those doors recently.

Charles Barkley doesn’t care for the Bulls’ feelings

On The Last Dance, Barkley called Michael Jordan his GOAT while reliving their 1993 clash when the Phoenix Suns lost the championship to the Bulls. As much as Chuck’s admiration for MJ remains relentless, he was sorely disappointed in him at the Bulls Ring of Honor night last month.

He was looking forward to a scandalous reunion but Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman were no-shows. Barkley called it a “disgrace for the main players to skip the event but the bigger disappointment was the Bulls fans who were present in the United Center. The NBA community dragged those spectators for booing Jerry Krause’s widow on that night. Barkley himself was furious about the matter.

Hence, if the Bulls fans are feeling bitter about his March Madness jab, Chuck isn’t losing sleep over it. He’s just keeping his expectations low.
