The NBA has showcased some interesting trades in the last two weeks. OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett to the Raptors, etc. One such underrated move by the Miami Heat is acquiring ‘Scary Terry’ for Kyle Lowry. Terry Rozier has already played three games for the Heat, but his role has not been impactful so far. The hopes are slowly dropping, but Boston Celtics champions Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce believe the Heat can fix it in some time. ‘The Big Ticket’ also defined a suitable role for Rozier, which can help them complete their championship dream this year.
KG shared, “Scary Terry went to Miami bro. That’s a great trade. Miami is coming, it’s on the way. Miami tuning up…Bro, they in there turning up the engine bro. You know Miami, they always get ready for the second half.” Heat’s late-season excellence is what they are famous for. With Rozier on the team, KG believes they are about to turn the tables. Pierce questioned if Rozier should be a starter. KG denied.
The Big Ticket shared, “He might have to be like that [Immanuel] Quickley…For continuity, you bring him off the bench…I say you use Scary for the first part like you using [Russell] Westbrook. Let him come in, he got energy. He’ll run that second unit. You have him in there in the 4th quarter.”

Russell Westbrook is a huge reason why the Clippers are an elite team in the West now. KG believes Rozier is a better player than many starters at Miami, but he is not aware of the system yet. Thus, he can be used to run a second team, off the bench, to increase the Heat’s efficiency.
Is this a wake-up call for Terry Rozier and the Miami Heat?

For starters, Rozier is yet to win a game with the Heat this season. He has played three games for the organization and is shooting a poor average of 30% from the field, which is concerning. To lead a second unit all by himself, the 29-year-old should find a way to get points on the board efficiently. In Heat’s latest game against the New York Knicks, Rozier settled for just 10 points in the 32 minutes he played.
Rozier started as a point guard in the last two games. Maybe, if the Heat use him like KG and Pierce mentioned, there is a good chance that they can see themselves in the Finals again. There is a long way to go, but we are aware of what the Heat is capable of.
