Marcus shared an image of Michael Jordan and Tyler Reddick on Instagram. The post was shared by @iamjohnfthomas. John Thomas II captured MJ in his third slide from the post series. Thomas captioned, “What a day!! NASCAR Victory Lane, congratulations to @tyler_reddick @23xiracing @jumpman23 big win yesterday at @talladega @nascar”. Marcus not only respected Michael Jordan’s legacy by publicly recognizing his father’s achievement, but he also gave viewers an insight into the workings of the Jordan family.

Parallel to this, Marcus Jordan’s girlfriend Larsa Pippen posted an Instagram video with a caption expressing, “Energy is contagious @fashionnova.” Fans certainly took note of the message, but it was Marcus’s acknowledgment of his father’s success that ignited discussion. On Sunday afternoon, Michael Jordan had the opportunity to lift a trophy as the tournament winner for the first time since 1998. On the weekend, Tyler Reddick won the 2024 Geico 500, giving Jordan’s 23XI Racing its #1 victory while the 6x NBA Finals MVP was present. Jordan and Denny Hamlin share ownership of 23XI Racing. Since the team’s 2021 beginnings, it has won 6 races in the NASCAR Cup series overall, but Jordan was not present for the first 5 of those crowns.

Since joining 23XI last season, Reddick has clinched 3 races. In 2023, he was #6 in the points standings. He will automatically qualify for the playoffs later this year owing to his victory over the weekend. Sunday’s top-10 result was his 7 of the short NASCAR season and his 5 straight. Finally, Jordan will probably be celebrating in victory lane more than once this season if the 28-year-old Reddick can maintain his current pace of play.
