In the clip Pippen filmed, Marcus is playing on a simplistic indoor free-throw setup. It doesn’t look like she recorded his entire spree but the 32-year-old made 14 shots in those few seconds alone.

If you’ve kept up with MJ’s son before he was embroiled in romantic drama, you’d not be surprised. Among MJ’s kids, Marcus was the best basketball player with NBA potential.

Standing three inches shorter than his 6’6″ dad, Marcus decided he wanted to step out of his father’s shadow. He was a top-ranked shooting guard in the country coming out of high school when he chose to play for the University of Central Florida over his dad’s alma mater UNC. He chose to wear No. 5 instead of the legendary No.23.

Famously, he kept his loyalty with his dad and Nike by disregarding the school ties to Adidas and playing in Air Jordans. This would lead to Adidas dropping UCF and Nike promptly swooping for the Marcus’ team.

That and the last name on his uniform were the only connections Marcus showed to the Black Cat. He would however leave the basketball team and continue his studies. Marcus graduated with a degree in hospitality management in 2013 and opted out of an NBA career to instead further his father’s business empire.
