In a recent article about Magic Johnson’s relationship with Michael Jordan, the legendary point guard revealed what it felt like to go up against ‘Black Jesus’. During a game between them, Johnson recalls MJ beckoning towards him. Meeting at half court, Magic remembers telling MJ, “Look, man, we ain’t supposed to be talking. I am getting ready to beat you.

To which Jordan simply replied, “Man, just listen to me. Go tell Byron, I am about to score 50 on him.”

Revealing that the 5-time MVP actually went on to have a 50-point game, Magic was in shock. Continuing the story, he stated, “I was like this dude here, man. You can’t do nothing about it.

Although seemingly threatening, MJ had no intention of being so. In fact, he saw it as a friendly banter. Going on to explain what he meant by that, Magic replied. “He didn’t do that in a bad way. It was like, we’re friends. I’m just telling you what’s about to happen, so don’t be surprised.

Despite being unable to save his team from Jordan’s heroics, Scott had some tricks up in his sleeve to stop the legendary player. But did it actually work?

Byron Scott reveals his bizarre scheme to defend Michael Jordan

During an appearance on the ‘Dan Patrick Show,’ Byron Scott revealed a similar story to Magic’s when speaking of MJ. In a tale that was almost identical to the one that happened to him. Scott remembered his playing days against the Chicago Bulls, where he was unfortunately injured.

Revealing his bizarre scheme while playing against Jordan, he stated. “I enjoyed guarding Mike, the one thing I never did with Mike was I never got him pissed off. He makes a good shot, you say good shot, Mike. Try and kill him with kindness.

Revealing that MJ met him in the tunnel after warmups, Byron remembers asking him “‘B. Scott what’s going on, I heard you’re not playing tonight, so, who’s guarding me?’” to which he replied “Anthony Peeler“. Without skipping a beat, Jordan just smirked at Byron and stated, “50″?to indicate the number of points he was going to score.
