Does Michael Cooper's Hall of Fame induction finally give him the recognition he truly deserves?

The day Magic Johnson predicted finally arrived! After a reunion and a Lakers-style celebration, Johnson heaped praise upon Hall of Famer Michael Cooper and the iconic Jerry West, also known as ‘The Logo.’ The 5x NBA champion and his wife, Cookie Johnson, were dressed to impress as they attended the Hall of Fame event in Springfield. Johnson, a presenter for both NBA legends, is a close friend of Cooper and has long been one of his most vocal advocates, stating that Cooper is truly deserving of this honor.

Emotional about his friend’s greatest achievement, the NBA legend, known for his active social presence, finally made a heartwarming Instagram post to congratulate Cooper. “Michael Cooper your acceptance speech was the highlight of tonight! I’m so proud of you and everything that you stand for, as both a basketball player and a human being! I was so happy to be one of the three people to help induct you into the Hall of Fame, along with Coach Pat Riley and Lisa Leslie!” he wrote on IG along with an IG carousel post.

Cooper dedicated 12 precious years of his life to the league and uplifted those around him. The first slide had pictures of him and Cookie smilingly posing alongside Cooper and his wife. The second appeared to group photo.
