Despite their rookie campaigns having ended, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s fans still seem to be at odds. Their rivalry, which began all the way back during the 2023 National Championship Game, continues to be the main talking point for many basketball fans and analysts. As the Chicago Sky star’s bold pictures from a photoshoot resurfaced, former NBA guard, Rashad McCants, who has been a vocal supporter of Clark, couldn’t help but get involved in the comments section.
“Cooked!!! 🤷🏾♂️,” Rashad McCants replied to the tweet showing Reese’s pictures. The tweet which the former star replied to has over 25 million views in just 24 hours. These images were reportedly taken following Reese’s alma mater, LSU’s win in the NCAA tournament last year. Even though the Sky Forward did not upload it on her account now, she is still getting attention. But such attention is nothing new for the Chi-Town Barbie. A few hours ago, she even replied to haters after her latest episode of the podcast had received mixed reviews.

Angel Reese wrote, “Hating pays too.” It was presumably for the people who did not like the podcast, but in the current circumstance, it can be applied to McCants for seemingly not being on board with the picture. Not to forget, the 40-year-old has been a vocal Caitlin Clark supporter for quite sometime. He even hyped the WNBA RoTY when she set a record in August against Reese’s Chicago.
Against the Sky, Caitlin Clark recorded the first 30-point, 12+ assist game in WNBA history. McCants wrote, “We not gonna stop being great!!!!! This is just the beginning!!!!! Cc.” The Indiana Fever would win the game in a dominating fashion, 100-81. Not to forget, the Des Moines, Iowa native was incredibly efficient, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 5-of-9 from beyond the arc—all in just 32 minutes.
That day, even LeBron James was mesmerized by the Caitlin Clark effect and wrote, “CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS.” Nonetheless, McCants has been unabashedly supporting the Fever rookie, especially on the Gil’s Arena.

Caitlin Clark found support from Rashad McCants
Before A’ja Wilson was named the MVP unanimously, there was some chatter about Caitlin Clark and her MVP credentials. One of the loudest supporters back then was the Gil’s Arena member. And 2 months ago, he wrote, “They gonna respect her whether they like it or not!!!!! Watch!!”
Former Sparks player Lexie Brown felt that Wilson was more likely to win the MVP title, an opinion which was the eventual result. But McCants did not budge and stated, “She is setting new records in the pro league. She’s like, ‘No, I’m going to chase that MVP because ain’t nobody fix it for me.’ She’s broken records already, bro. already… What are y’all talking about?…You discrediting her? She has changed the game. That alone as a rookie!”

Whether it’s RoTY or any other award, Caitlin Clark made her decision very clear. “I think me and Angel would both give you the same answer. We don’t wake up and think about individual awards.” Both Clark and Angel Reese have the off-season to prepare and hopefully another season with the same record-breaking performances.
“Stay tuned for more such updates and join us for the exciting second episode of the “Dual Threat Show” as our host BG12 sits down with Georgia Bulldogs star and Mountain West All-Freshman Team Selection, Asia Avinger.”
