After supporting his team Chicago Sky against the Sun, Dwyane Wade is now cheering for his wife’s presence at the game. Notably, the former Miami Heat star is a stakeholder in Sky, and he along with his wife Gabrielle Union-Wade attended the recent game.
Before visiting the venue, Union-Wade posted photos featuring her look for the game,” heading to the court like spalding 😉,” read the caption to the post. And it seems the most impressed one by this look was none other than D-Wade. Taking to his official IG account, the 3x NBA champ posted a series of Gabrielle’s photos from the game. “Let me interrupt this program to say DAMN my wife is Beautiful!” he wrote in the post’s caption.
Meanwhile, Union-Wade commented, “Waiiiiit I’m sitting next to you in the hottub 😍,” on the post. Apart from this, she also shared the post in her IG story section.

It is not as if the former Heat star lacked in his on-court appearance. The 42-year-old was donning all-black pants and a vest paired with ‘Girl Dad‘ Li-Ning sneakers. Notably, Li Ning is the brand that created Wade’s signature basketball sneakers. The ‘Girl Dad’ sneakers were a result of a collaboration between the brand and Jackie Chan.

In the presence of the Wades, the Sky lost to the Sun by 82-86. The Sky had a lead over their opponents until the second quarter, but the Sun turned the tables. And this comes after the fact that Connecticut played the entire fourth quarter without Alyssa Thomas.
Thomas has been a consistently performing player for the Suns, even scoring a triple-double against Indiana Fever in a pre-season game. However, she was ejected in the 4th quarter against the Sun after her foul against Angel Reese was upgraded to a flagrant 2. This occurred when Thomas, while rebounding against Reese, appeared to have extended her arm into the Sky rookie and knocked her down.
However, it does not seem that this instance has created any sour feelings on the 22-year-old Sky star’s end. In fact, Reese thanked Thomas for holding her to similar standards to WNBA athletes like others. “I hope y’all know that. They’re not supposed to be nice to me or lay down because I’m Angel Reese or because I’m a rookie… Thank you AT for sending a message to me because I got back up and I kept going and kept pushing,” she said after the game. However, the true impact of this instance will only be revealed in the next face off.
