Whether it be the genes or hard work, each child of Shaquille O’Neal is quickly establishing themselves in their field. Between Myles’ fledging modeling and DJ career, or Shareef gaining trajectory in the NBA G-League, his children are thriving. Moreover, another one will soon be joining the pack after she makes a decision for college. While the place the 17-year-old will call home remains a mystery, her basketball talent is the farthest thing from it. In the stands, cheering her on, was mother Shaunie Henderson.
Even though the choice of college isn’t clear, Me’arah O’Neal continues to impress on the court. With the 2022 NCAA tournament bringing women’s basketball to the collegiate sports’ forefront, there couldn’t be a better time for the 17-year-old to join the ranks.

Me’arah’s choice remains unclear. While the obvious choice would be her father’s alma mater, Louisiana State University, other options also remain in sight. Even though LSU is the place to be, with a superstar like Angel Reese at the helm, the former Miami Heat champion’s youngest might be looking at other options as well.

However, before that decision became clear, the youngster was in a run to hone her craft. In an open run by Nike that featured some of the nation’s best young prospects, O’Neal was dominant. From the sidelines, mother Shaunie could only look on in disbelief at her daughter’s success as she traveled around 1,628 miles from Houston to New York. She even stated, “My girl got me on tour this year” in a separate story.

Taking place at the Lincoln Center in New York, the World Basketball Festival was the place to be for those on the lookout for the next generation of basketball stars. Among them, on the women’s side of things, the Los Angeles Lakers legend’s daughter was among the biggest names present, with her mother a silent supporter.
However, as she prepares to make the tough choice, it isn’t the first time that O’Neal had her mother’s backing.

Earlier in the week, Me’arah shared a few choice images among all the hype around her choice of university. Donning the iconic Floridian colors, the young superstar looked right at home with the Gators. However, she made sure to specify that she hadn’t made her choice yet.
Regardless, her fit was a big hit in the family. Whether it be brother Myles, mother Shaunie, or even “bestie” Keion, everyone was a fan of the potential move. But the way forward remains unclear for the next great college athlete.
