Shaquille O’Neal likes to keep himself busy. After a long season of covering the NBA as an analyst, he used the summer to don the hat of a disc jockey. Recently, he put on his alter ego, DJ Diesel at a major music festival. After performing in Europe, Diesel?has returned to wreak havoc on the homeland. During his most recent moshpit, Dwyane Wade joined in with his teenage daughter.

The Miami Heat legend was part of all three championship-winning teams in Miami’s history. He is arguably the greatest player in the history of the franchise. It’s quite evident that he’s enjoying life away from basketball though, as he was showcasing his flamboyant dance moves recently.

There’s something about being a basketball great that makes you a fan of music. Shaquille O’Neal is often seen performing for the crowd by putting forward his avatar of DJ Diesel and making the crowd groove to his tunes. With a platinum hip-hop album in the ’90s, Diesel of modern times is a rather electronic artist. His ability to keep up with the times has not only made him a terrific entertainer but also a straight-up business mogul. In fact, earlier this weekend, he made a pitstop at one of his?Big Chicken?restaurants.

Shortly after that, he got on stage to make the 400,000-strong crowd dance. Among them, of course, was Chicago native Dwyane Wade.

Wade’s 16-year-old posted snaps of her and Flash synchronizing to the tunes in the moshpit this year.

Of course, the event was held in?Flash‘s hometown (where he now co-owns a sports franchise). But it’s quite evident that he’s taken a page out of Shaq’s book and embraced father time in remarkable fashion.

“That is what we have poured into our children. We don?t stand for folks who choose to be disrespectful or bigots. And if you insist on it, we will insist on correcting you.”

Having taken on the role of a full-time father, one has to admire the brave parenting approach taken up by Wade of standing against the bullies and the bigoted population. For his outspoken approach, Netflix picked him to feature in an upcoming documentary about the parents of LGBTQ children.
