Dwyane Wade takes a lot of pride when it comes to being a father. As a parent of 5 children, there are a lot of things to feel proud about. But with his 16-year-old daughter Zaya Wade, things were a bit different after she came out as trans at the age of 12. Anyhow, the Miami Heat legend has not taken his duty as a father for granted. Letting go of his dream, Wade has now started to find pride in his daughter’s possible future career, which is fashion. 

Among many dreams, Wade wanted his daughter Zaya to play basketball. The three-time champion shared he was very excited when he, LeBron James, and Carmelo Anthony gave birth to their children at almost the same time. He was looking forward to the next version of all these three legends. Wade had then shared, “I have Zaya. LeBron has Bryce. Melo has Kiyan. All within a 2-3 week span… All our kids gonna grow up hooping together”. But not everything goes as planned. 

However, there is a new dream now and Zaya Wade will soon become a fashion icon, which the 3-time champion seems to be proud of. The 16-year-old has starred as a model for an Italian luxury brand, ‘Miu Miu’, that has gone viral on Instagram. 

Soaked in pride, father Wade shared it on his Instagram story, “Proud Dad” with a heart emoji, to show us his new dream. 

Zaya Wade’s journey so far in the fashion industry

The fashion industry is not everyone’s cup of tea. Yet at such a young age, nothing seems to stop Zaya from excelling in it. World-famous fashion brand ‘Prada’, is the sister company of the above-mentioned Italian brand. ‘Miu Miu’ even managed to overtake its sister company in the world ranking for the most sought-after fashion brand as per reports. And already, Zaya has starred in it.

Apart from that, the youngster has taken part in famous fashion shows across the globe. Her most famous one was the ‘Paris Fashion Show’ back in March 2023, where she dropped many jaws. She had represented ‘Miu Miu’ back then too. Wade had attended the event live to support his daughter in fulfilling her dream. There is a long journey ahead. Anyhow, it is clear that Zaya will always have Wade by her side, no matter what. That’s a true father!
