They’re parents to four children, but Larsa and Scottie Pippen no longer seem to be on talking terms. Whether it was their separation or that Larsa dated Marcus Jordan, their relationship hasn’t improved since their divorce. When she was dating Marcus, it was clear that Michael Jordan didn’t fully approve. It’s not far-fetched to assume Scottie wasn’t happy either, especially considering the former teammates’ falling out. All said and done, though, when it comes to supporting their children, they set aside their differences. Or do they?
There’s no doubt that one aspect of their relationship that’s stayed constant over the years is their unwavering support for their children. The most recent instance was at their son Justin’s high school graduation ceremony. While they were both there to celebrate Justin’s milestone, it seemed like Scottie and Larsa steered clear of each other (if their social media posts were anything to go by).
The former Chicago Bulls star shared the photos from the occasion on his Instagram account. “Proud dad moment! Congrats, son! 🎓 @justinpippen,” read the caption. The photos featured Scottie Pippen with his and Larsa’s children — Justin, Preston, Sophia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. But the six-time NBA champ’s post did not include Larsa in any of the photos. That’s not to say she wasn’t present for the occasion.

In a post by Justin Pippen, captioned, “Onto the next chapter,” he shared one picture with his siblings, one with them and their father, and one with his mother. Larsa Pippen even commented, “Congrats, my love ❤️” However, in neither Justin’s nor Scottie’s post did the parents feature in the same snap. Even Larsa’s Instagram stories throughout the ceremony didn’t show her ex-husband. She posted a picture hugging Justin and wrote, “I’m so proud of all your hard work. I love you so much.” So it’s likely the former couple was maintaining their distance from each other. Nonetheless, their pride in Justin’s future seems to be something else they have in common.
The next chapter for the 19-year-old is college basketball with the Michigan Wolverines. Having chosen the Wolverines over programs like Stanford, Florida, and Texas A&M, Justin Pippen interviewed with ESPN, explaining his decision. He said, “I like the feel of the campus and school,” adding, “I wanted to be at a big school. They can help me reach my end goal of making the NBA.” He also revealed that Michigan’s new head coach, Dusty May, played a significant role in getting Justin to commit to the Wolverines.

Justin is the third of Larsa and Scottie Pippen’s sons to be involved in basketball, while their daughter Sophia seems to be taking a path into modeling. Scottie and Larsa tied the knot in 1997 when the former was 23, and Pip was 32. However, after staying married for almost 2 decades, the couple separated in 2016. Although they tried reconciling in 2018, the marriage ended with a divorce in 2021. And now the two seem to be at a point where they can’t even feature in a single frame.
Larsa, on not having a cordial bond with Scottie Pippen
Speaking to Lisa Hochstein in 2023, the 49-year-old stated that the present situation between the two is hurtful for her. She mentioned that her family was never mean to the former Bulls star, but his family did not reciprocate in a similar manner.

“When I went through my divorce, I never in a million years imagined losing my ex’s whole family. I always assumed it would be cordial, and we would talk on holidays or birthdays. But that’s not the case,” she stated back then. The Real Housewives of Miami star felt Pip hated her because she was no longer happily living with his family members.
Larsa also revealed that she was once best friends with Scottie Pippen’s sister, but now there is no communication with her either. However, the Fashion Nova Ambassador has gone on to embrace a ‘new chapter,’ building her TV career and modeling while also in search of the right match, one of which included an on-and-off relationship when the 49-year-old also dated Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus.
