Rooks has a vast portfolio in the media industry. The 32-year-old has worked for the Big Ten Network, been a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network, and worked as a host, reporter, and correspondent at SportsNet New York, before making it to NBA on TNT last year.
Now, although Taylor Rooks brings years of media experience to the table, Nowitzki and Griffin are relatively newcomers to broadcasting. But Dirk has occasionally appeared on Inside the NBA. Blake, meanwhile, is expected to bring his humor, showcased during his appearance on Comedy Central’s Roast of Alec Baldwin.

But that’s not all. Ian Eagle has also been tapped as Amazon’s lead play-by-play announcer. If you’re wondering who he’ll be paired with, you’re not alone—Amazon hasn’t revealed that yet. What’s certain is that they’re breaking new ground, airing six conference finals exclusively on their platform, marking a major milestone in sports streaming.
And the talent search isn’t over. Word is that Amazon is in talks with Dwyane Wade. Imagine the energy he could bring to the studio or game coverage. With Rooks landing among such big names, it can be an Ernie Johnson-like opportunity for her to create her own identity as a media professional. No wonder the likes of Vince Carter and La La Anthony are happy for Taylor.
