Barely done with Gianna’s birthday, Vanessa Bryant has already been flooded with her own birthday wishes. Notably, Vanessa’s late daughter, Gianna Bryant, was born on May 1, 2006. And although she is no longer in this world, her mom did not fail to celebrate her youngest one’s special day. And with that, Vanessa has now landed on her day of the year. Notably, she just turned 42 and somehow it is La La Anthony who cannot contain her excitement. From basketball to media personalities, stars from different industries have extended their wishes for the 42-year-old on her special day. And the likes of Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian have joined the fray. 

In fact, the first of the bunch, La La shared a dedicated birthday post for Vanessa featuring a photo of them together. “Screaming Happy Birthday to my V @vanessabryant. Love you so much! We’ve been blessed to have so many years of friendship and love and laughs!!!… LOVE YOU! Today is your day,” read the caption to the IG post.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian also took to her IG Stories and extended her birthday wish to Vanessa. She shared a series of photos, with one captioned, “Happy Birthday V!!!! love you @vanessabryant.” Kris Jenner too took to the occasion as an opportunity to express her love, featuring her beau Corey Gamble, and Vanessa Bryant. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @VANESSABRYANT LOVE YOU!!” read her post.

It is worth mentioning that this has been quite a busy week for Vanessa Bryant. As mentioned earlier, she recently celebrated Gigi’s birthday week. One of the major highlights of this celebration was the special tribute to her daughter by welcoming 100 kids to a special basketball camp organized by Vanessa in collaboration with Nike.

Coming back to Vanessa’s birthday, all the wishes and messages hint that the celebration is going to be a blast. Having said that, of all these wishes, nothing comes close to La La Anthony’s personalized post for Vanessa. And this is understandable considering the bond they share, especially due to the roots of their friendship.

A closer look at La La Anthony and Vanessa Bryant’s bond

According to what La LA told ‘People’ during an interview back in 2020, she is in constant touch with Vanessa during her time of distress. “I talk to her (Vanessa) every single day. And I just always say, ‘Continue to send her (Gianna Bryant) great energy and pray for her,'” La La said. She also stated her belief in the fact good friends are hard to find. “So when you find them, you hang on to them no matter what. So it’s great that during this time we’ve been able to stay connected.”

In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2020, La La also spoke of her bond with Vanessa’s children. The 41-year-old also mentioned that both their children have grown like cousins with each other. “… To be ‘Auntie La La,’ and to always be there for them no matter what is an amazing thing … That’s my family…,” she said.

And this was reflected when both Vanessa and La La spent the holidays together with their kids back in December 2021. La La had even shared their photos from the holidays in an IG post. The post featured photos of Vanessa and her daughters — Natalia, Bianka, and Capri — and La La, along with her son Kiyan Anthony.
