Minnesota let go of a few of their role players in the last few weeks. However, Karl-Anthony Town, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley want to run it back next season. And, according to many, the above-mentioned stars are not getting anywhere without the prodigious Anthony Edwards.?
Leading his team to the playoffs, 21-year-old Edwards put on a fight against the eventual champs, the Denver Nuggets. It’s safe to say the 6’4 shooting guard is the main piece and not Gobert or Towns. In his very first year with the T-Wolves, Edwards averaged nearly 20 points alongside a 25-year-old Towns. Though he didn’t make it to the playoffs, the rookie was called a “miniature” Kobe Bryant by 7-time Lakers champion Robert Horry.?
Now two years later, Edwards has signed a massive $260 million extension for 5 years. During the Wolves’ first-round exit against Denver, Edwards averaged an unreal 31 points per game. However, the Wolves guard was not the only one who was on cloud nine. Big Diesel also showed his excitement as he shared a story about Edwards signing his deal to make it official.?

While the 5-year deal has a base of $205.9 million, All-NBA honors or other league awards can trigger a steep raise for Ant-man. Considering his latest run of form, and his mentality, it seems inevitable that he will have awards and honors in the future.
Anthony Edwards wants to “kill everybody”
The 21-year-old was seen courtside for a summer league game a few days back.
When questioned about his mindset for the upcoming seasons, Edwards boldly replied, “I think I should be in the conversation for one of the best players in the NBA, not now but next year I would be.”
He did not end there.?
The versatile guard added in another interview, “Just kill, kill everybody. That?s my mindset every time.“?
