Kobe Byrant fans have been waiting for the holiday season and for good reason. During his playing days, Kobe often debuted his new shoes during the Christmas Day games in the NBA. While it has been some time since we last witnessed it, the holiday tradition is now being upheld by Vanessa Bryant as the new version of the iconic Kobe 6 shoes has just dropped.

In the 2021–2022 season, the most worn NBA shoes were the Kobe 6. Although it was initially released over 13 years ago, fans are more excited than ever for the new Kobe 6 ‘Reverse Grinch’.

The Reverse Grinch is out now

The much-awaited Kobe 6 Reverse Grinch release is finally available for the public. Although Vanessa Bryant revealed that they have three times more stock than usual, the shoes are still selling  out as soon as they are available.

Keeping the Black Mamba in mind, the shoes have a snakeskin-like pattern on them. On top of the bright red-patterned body of the shoes, the bright green shoelaces stand out even more. One major change from the 2010 version is that the newer model is significantly lighter.

It has been three months since Vanessa Bryant announced the Kobe 6 reverse Grinch for the holiday season, along with another special collection. The newest reports have revealed everything about the new shoes. According to Design Scene, the shoes are now available for purchase for both adults and kids. The prices for the shoes will be $195 and $125 for the kids version.

The first time Kobe Bryant wore the Kobe 6 Grinch was during a game against the Miami Heat on Christmas Day in 2010. The Lakers lost that game, yet the courtside viewers were all given a pair of the lime green ‘Grinch’ shoes.

The Grinches are not the only Kobe Bryant collection coming out

As the fans liked the vibrant colors, they now get the reverse grinches. But what about the fans who are more low-key? No need to worry, as while revealing the Kobe 6’s, Vanessa Bryant also revealed a black variation of the Kobe 4 Protro along with a black jacket. It will be part of a collection called the ‘Gift of Kobe’. The collection is set to be released on December 26th.

Vanessa revealed a jacket that pays homage to Kobe’s legacy with numerous sayings and championship years. Along with this, black mamba-inspired black shoes were also shown, which had Kobe Bryant’s signature on the back.
