The LA Fire has caused damage to not just properties but to cherished memories, and Vanessa Bryant is no exception. The first self-owned house that Kobe Bryant and his wife resided in was in Pacific Palisades. Although the property was sold, the memories remained. Not anymore. Vanessa shared her grief and the commitment to bring relief in a post on Instagram.

“Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started 💔),” Vanessa wrote on Instagram. She further highlighted the fact that she has had many beautiful memories from living in LA with the ‘Black Mamba’.

“There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in LA who are affected by the fires,” she further wrote, revealing the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation has joined hands with Baby2Baby to help the LA community.

Notably, Baby2Baby is a non-profit organization that provides children living in poverty across the country with necessities that every child deserves. As per the present pop-up notification on its official website, “Baby2Baby has already distributed over 2 million emergency supplies for the most vulnerable children and families who have lost everything in the Los Angeles fires.”

The supplies include diapers, food, formula, water, clothing, blankets, and hygiene products. The website further mentioned it’s committed to providing this support for the weeks and months to come. With Vanessa joining in with Kobe Bryant’s nearly $600 million estate to back this initiative, there’s no doubt that Baby2Baby will have all the help it needs.

Vanessa and Kobe’s first home in LA was nothing short of a dream. Nestled at 1545 Lachman Lane in Pacific Palisades, the estate was built in 1992 and offered serenity like no other. Imagine stepping into a custom-designed meditation oasis with uninterrupted views of the coastline and ocean—truly a sight to behold!

With six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, it was a haven of comfort and elegance. Kobe Bryant’s journey with this stunning property is just as intriguing. Before owning it, the Lakers’ rising star rented the four-story home. Then, at just 20 years old, he landed a massive six-year, $70.9 million contract extension. This allowed him to purchase the house in 1999 for $2.5 million.

By 2008, the estate had undergone an extravagant $3 million renovation. Picture mahogany-coffered ceilings, luxurious landscaping, a private tennis court, and even a home theater. The house was, however, listed for sale in 2014 with an asking price of $12.88 million.

Sadly, the story took a tragic turn, as what remains today are only the burned remnants of the house after the LA Fire tragedy. Even though she no longer resides in it, it is still an emotional moment for Vanessa, as reflected in her heartfelt post.
