His friendship with a scientist revealed the nice version of him to the public.
From giving a heartfelt speech to the Auburn Tigers team before their match to giving an honest piece of advice to Zion Williamson, he is seen motivating and encouraging others. A random two-hour dinner with an old friend Lin Wang, revealed his true persona to his fans.

The Round Mound of Rebound and a cat litter scientist’s friendship began on a random note. Barkley was in Sacramento for a charity event. The man also happened to be on a business trip when he stumbled upon the 76ers legend, as reported by WBUR.
They were both at a bar when Lin Wang approached Chucks for a picture. But their conversation went a little longer and they decided to get dinner. Recalling the dinner, Barkley said, “It turned into a two-hour dinner. And then we actually went back to the bar and just sit there and talked for another couple of hours. And the rest is history.”
The duo met again at the same bar for the following two nights. On the third night, Barkley gave his contact number to Wang and said, “Whenever you’re in Atlanta, New York City or Phoenix, check out with me. If I am in town, we will hang out and have a good time.”

For a few years, the duo hung out together whenever they were in the same city. Wang has mentioned that “He is a super nice guy.”

Charles Barkley’s strong personality has inspired many youngsters. Titled ‘I am not a role model’, Barkley’s popular Nike advertisement stirred the entire basketball fandom. In the 30-second-long video, the 1993 MVP claimed that he was not a role model. His popular quote was, “Just because I dunk a basketball doesn’t mean I should raise your kids.”
