La La Anthony is brewing something interesting! Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife has joined forces with her best friend Kim Kardashian for a new venture. She had already hinted at what it was going to be about, but we didn’t know what inspired the two best friends to team up. In a recent interview, the former MTV VJ revealed how it all began and what we can expect from the show.

Kardashian recently signed a deal with Hulu to develop several projects, which became the spark. The two had always wanted to collaborate on something. And when the opportunity arose, they decided to work on La La’s bestselling book, The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness. “She got this Hulu deal and it’s like hey let’s fill one of those spots with a project that we’ve been talking about forever it’s based on The Love Playbook but it’s really based on our group chat and like things we talk about in the group chat everyone wants to know what goes on in,” Anthony noted.

“So it’s about the group chat and like the conversations that the real unfiltered conversations that happened in a group chat and it was like why not let’s do it and we made it happen,” she further shared how she conveyed the project idea to her friend and it all worked out, adding, “I think it’s going to deal with a lot of topics that you know are relevant things that women go through whether you were married divorce dating had a baby whatever it is there’s something for everybody in a show like this so we’re really excited for it.”

Her memoir shares intimate details about her marriage and past relationships to explain the lessons she’s learned the hard way. The new show, titled Group Chat, is inspired by the book, with both friends serving as executive producers. The show will be produced between 20th TV and BET Studios.

La La Anthony and Kim Kardashian tease fun ahead of show launch 

La La and Kardashian are much closer than most people realize. The socialite penned a special message for her best friend on her birthday to show how deep their bond is. “Not sure how you do it but you always seem to answer the phone no matter what hour it is and I will ALWAYS do the same for you,” Kim wrote to La La. Both expressed their excitement on social media while announcing their show had been given the green light.

Besides this venture, La La has appeared in several other projects as an actress, including Power and Black Mafia Family. Kenya Barris will also play a key role on the team. Furthermore, she has collaborated with ‘Pause Now, Hustle Later’ and Airbnb. Now, that the Group Chat got the green light, the question is whether there will be more such collabs.
