Another successful prediction from Kevin Garnett? After foreseeing Tyus Jones’ move to the Phoenix Suns months in advance, the Big Ticket is once again confident with his take. This time, he’s sensing a huge comeback for young NBA guard, Bones Hyland, who averaged just 6.9 PPG last season while playing 37 games for the Los Angeles Clippers. While the basketball world’s focus is on Team USA at the Olympics, Hyland showed why NBA players are the best of the best, irrespective of their role on the teams.

The 15× NBA All-Star took to his X account to share a highlight video of Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland. He captioned it: “My dog Bizzy!! Comeback about to GO!” complete with a 100 emoji to emphasize his conviction. In the video, Bones Hyland was tearing up the court in Canada, scoring a massive 53 points in a Pro-Am event.

The original video was shared by Ball Don’t Stop’s official X account, which added its own glowing praise. “Bones Hyland came up to Canada and put on an absolute show, 53 points in the Ball Don’t Stop Pro-Am to lead We Them Ones to the dub. The epitome of a pure hooper.”

Despite these high praises, Hyland has yet to truly impress in the NBA. Drafted as the 26th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in 2021, his tenures with both the Nuggets and the LA Clippers have been underwhelming, averaging just 10 PPG, 2.8 APG, and 2.3 RPG. Ahead of the 2021 draft, NBADRAFT.NET highlighted some weaknesses in his game, noting, “He is a good defender, but will struggle defending bigger players, even most shooting guards as they will have an immense strength advantage.”

While we wait to see if the Big Ticket‘s prediction pans out, it’s worth reflecting on his recent forecast that created a buzz across the NBA community.

Kevin Garnett correctly predicted Tyus Jones’ move to the Suns

Back in January, Kevin Garnett made a bold prediction on his podcast that Tyus Jones would be an ideal fit for the Phoenix Suns. “You know who Phoenix needs to go get? Tyus Jones,” Garnett declared. Fast forward four months, and Jones signed a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Suns, making Garnett’s foresight seem almost prophetic.

To highlight his accurate prediction, the podcast’s Instagram account shared the old clip of Garnett making the call, captioned: “KG called Tyus Jones to the Suns all the way back in January,” complete with mind-blown and crystal ball emojis. Garnett himself couldn’t resist sharing the post on his story, exclaiming, “Yooooooooo I called this!!”

Furthermore, Garnett explained the rationale behind his prediction, emphasizing Jones’s exceptional ball-handling skills. He noted that Jones rarely turns the ball over and serves as a valuable traditional point guard option. With the Suns in need of a reliable point guard, Garnett’s insight into Jones’s abilities made perfect sense. No one can question KG’s basketball knowledge. And he might be onto something while praising Hyland.
