The biggest story of the young NBA season has to be the one brewing in Los Angeles. While big-time names like Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum, and others have come out to a hot start, the Clippers hold all the headlines. That is because their trade for James Harden, brewing for months, has the potential to change the league seismically. But, it has brought into question the fit within the team. With 4 ball-dominant players on the roster now, how is Coach Ty Lue going to manage the rotation? It seems like his job could be made easier by NBA legend Kevin Garnett.

Just before the new-look Clippers get ready to take the floor for the first time, the 2008 NBA Champion had a potential starting lineup that the team?could?embrace.

Due to the nature of the team’s construction, the biggest question going forward is the fit. Between Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George, the team has an overabundance of ball-handlers already.

Adding? The Beard?to the mix could be a hard sell. It is a familiar story as the same questions came into existence in Harden’s career earlier. Firstly, when Russ became a member of the Houston Rockets along with him. Then, James’ move to the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving led to the same doubts.

With the ultimate result both times resulting in a second-round exit, the Clippers will hope for a different outcome. But, according to KG, they should embrace their all-time great talent.

“I’m starting all four of these with Big Zu. Let’s run it…All four y’all…Whoever got it, can go. Think about it, P [Paul Pierce], you can mismatch all that. Pick-and-roll with Kawhi in the middle, pick-and-roll with Paul G in the middle.” When Pierce brought up the biggest question, “Who’s running the point?”, Garnett had an answer ready.

Whoever get it off the board.”?In a hilarious impersonation of ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who’s finally come around to defending Harden, Kevin said, “It’s fluid.”?

According to KG, traditional roles cannot be the way for the Clippers’ success. Instead, it is a different kind of basketball that the team needs to embrace.

Despite 3 guaranteed surefire, first-ballot Hall of Famers on the roster, and a potential 4th one in PG13, the team should be instant title favorites. However, the reality is different due to the playstyle of their superstars. With each star needing the ball to be their most successful, how can the team manage its components?

Further, the big question that even Westbrook doesn’t have an answer to it is who runs the point. But, Garnett believes they need to do something truly unique. Due to the nature of basketball today,?The Big Ticket?believes the association has strayed away from its traditional plays. But the Clippers would have to take it to the next level.

The first return isn’t something they would be happy about. While the team did heed the former DPOY’s advice about the starting lineup, the result wasn’t ideal. In a blowout victory at The Garden, the New York Knicks ran roughshod over Los Angeles, winning 111-97.

While the stars individually had some strong play, George was a no-show, scoring jut 10 points. Despite scoring 17 points on 6-9 shooting, it was the first loss for Harden in a new location in his career. With a lot of moving pieces, chemistry, and rotations to figure out, can LAC steer the ship?
