San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is having a great season despite his team’s poor ranking in the Western Conference. While most of the basketball world has been enamored by the 20-year-old, certain greats such as Shaquille O’Neal believe we have seen it already in the form of Phoenix Suns center Bol Bol. Boston Celtics great Kevin Garnett is of the same opinion. The former superstar believes the two unique towering stars are “mirror images“.
On his podcast ‘KG Certified’, he shared, “I want to see Bol Bol. I just want to see the two, cause they are…mirror images. I think that we haven’t seen enough of Bol Bol, or I think on the bigger scale, because when you see his highlights and he is able to do…Bol Bol is that deal.” The 7’3 center has played only 10 games this season averaging just 5 minutes per game on a stacked Suns roster.
It would be difficult to find him some minutes, but KG believes the Suns should use him more. KG added, “I’m talking about skill here. And the skill on this s*** is unbelievable… I’m talking about the drill bro…Guys like Wemby and Bol Bol are pushing the line for what we seeing from the big man.“

The Suns and the Spurs have played each other twice, but Bol Bol did not get any minutes. Their next match is on March 24 and hopefully, we can witness a Wembanyama vs Bol Bol matchup! The media attention on Victor Wembanyama was unbelievable when he joined the league. However, that did not disturb Shaquille O’Neal from believing Bol Bol is no less of a talent.

Indian Pacers legend Reggie Miller was astonished by the talents of the French sensation. He believed he had never anything like Wembanyama. But Shaq does not think so.
On TNT, the 2000 MVP shared, “I wanna go at Reggie a little bit. He talked about how he’s never seen a guy like Wembanyama. Yes you have, his name is Bol Bol.” Shaq also justified his take, “Wembanyama is just way more consistent than Bol Bol, but Bol Bol is the first seven-footer that we see doing that.”
