How does starting a new podcast episode with a sip of wine sound? That’s exactly what Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce did. Ahead of the playoffs tomorrow, the next episode of the Ticket and The Truth podcast might be about the above Boston Celtics duo’s predictions for the first round. Anyhow, before we come to that, let’s see how KG and Pierce used the Trinchero Family’s famous wine brand to celebrate a special cause.
Pierce had a surprise for KG, which hyped the latter up. In a video released by the Big Ticket on Instagram, Pierce shared, “Hey look what I got for you baby. I brought your wine baby”. Garnett, in excitement, shouted, “Ay motherf***** here to pay up. Four we needed. Ten more bottles!” Pierce revealed the wine brand, “Menage a Trois. The Menage a Trois baby”, which comes from the Trinchero Family, which is one of the largest wine producers in the United States with a net worth of $1.9 billion. So this celebration must be for something special, right?
KG asked Pierce, “Hear me out, hear me out. What we cheering to? Life?”. However, Pierce had something else on his mind. He said, “Cheers to a great season. End of the season, you won. And to the playoffs baby.”

The Boston Celtics had a 60-win season this year, and comfortably clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference. KG is celebrating the Celtics’ entry into the playoffs, but before the season ended, he had a small warning for the team.

The Celtics’ 64-win season is definitely a cause to celebrate. However, they had quite some trouble in finishing the regular season on a positive note. Celtics’ powerful starting five of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis, played their last game together in the regular season against the New York Knicks on April 11th. The main team wanted to grab their final win before resting for the playoff but Jalen Brunson had a different plan.
The Knicks point guard fired all over from the court to secure 39 points and also gave Jayson Tatum and Co. a 9-point loss. This frustrated Kevin Garnett. The 2008 champion wrote on Twitter, “These season close-out games sets the level for the playoffs! Treat em like game 1 of the playoffs. Set the mf tone! “Anyhow, the Celtics will be playing either the Chicago Bulls or the Miami Heat in the first round of the postseason. Hopefully, they can make KG proud with a clean sweep!
