Kenny Smith might have a second chance to help young blood find their way to the NBA waters. For those unaware, Smith’s son failed to take big strides during his college basketball career. It seems, however, that the 2x NBA champ’s influence might be working wonders for someone else. If you’ve been keeping tabs on Smith’s off-court life, you might’ve heard the buzz about his rumored relationship with Tia Jurcic, a minor celebrity of Croatian descent.
Now, Smith and Jurcic haven’t officially declared their relationship, but let’s be honest—social media speaks louder than words sometimes. And if the reports are true, this isn’t just about Kenny and Tia. The relationship dynamics will include Jurcic’s son, Dominik, too.
The young blood is not just a hooper but he also won a championship with his team recently. The update was shared by Tia herself on Instagram. “Championship… so proud of you… love you… Great job boys… Congratulations to the whole team…” read the caption.

This update comes as good news for Kenny Smith as he and Dominic could bond over basketball, which will further boost the dynamics between the 2x NBA champ and Tia. Especially when it’s quite evident that their dating is not just rumors.

It was just August last year that the two even celebrated Jurcic’s 40th birthday together. The rumors, however, were swirling since March itself when Dnevnik.hr reported that a deleted birthday post by Juric had a special message for the North Carolina alum.
It’s a heartwarming moment that could be the perfect start for Kenny and Dominik to bond over their shared love for the game. Yes, Dominik’s father Chris Warren has been a pro basketball player himself but to have the guidance of an NBA legend himself is a perk he wouldn’t want to deny. A long shot here, but this could also be another chance for Smith to pass on his basketball legacy.

K.J. Smith, son of The Jet, had dreams of carving out his own path in basketball. Starting with the Pacific Tigers, he eventually transferred to the UNC Tar Heels, where his father once made waves. It’s easy to imagine the excitement of stepping onto the same court as a family icon.
But unlike his dad, K.J.’s time on the hardwood didn’t leave a lasting mark. Over three seasons at UNC, he played sparingly, averaging less than five minutes per game and just 0.8 points per outing. While the pro basketball dream didn’t pan out, he found his stride elsewhere.
Following in Kenny’s post-retirement footsteps, K.J. now went on to serve as a college basketball studio analyst for the ACC Network.
Now, if things materialize into something concrete with Kenny Smith and Tia Jurcic, the 2x NBA champ could have a chance to maybe help Dominic find his way to the big league.
